Sheet for preventing cable fire propagation
Fujikura Firestop Sheet prevents the spread of fire on group cables!!
Wires and cables are made of PVC, polyethylene and other plastic materials, which easily catch fire. In case of fire in factories and buildings, there have been many cases where cables catch fire and its flames are propagated to other places. The greatest damage occurs when such cables are installed in multiple numbers. An important point, therefore, is to prevent the fire propagation among cables. Fujikura Firestop Sheet offers an excellent fire-spread control effect by wrapping it around all cables in individual racks.
Combustion tests
IEC 332-3A combustion test
Eighteen 2.83-m long 600V CV cables (9 cables x 2 stages) were installed in the vertical rack, and flames from the burner were applied to the lower part of the exposed section for 70 minutes to burn the cables. It was observed that the exposed section at the upper end did not catch fire even if the lower part was burnt up completely, and the fire was extinguished spontaneously in 16 minutes after the burner stopped.
"Steiner Tunnel" combustion test
Twenty 7.2-m long 600V CV cables (10 cables x 2 stages) were installed in the horizontal rack, and flames from the burner were applied to the end of the cable (exposed 1.6m) for 40 minutes to burn the cables. It was observed that the exposed section (wrapped with Firestop Sheet of 4.6m) at the far end did not catch fire even if the other end was burnt up completely and the fire was extinguished spontaneously in 48 minutes after the burner stopped.
Firestop Tape
Available unit: 1mm thick, 50mm wide x 10m/roll x 10 rolls
How to use: Wrap a roll of tape around the cable with an overlap of 1/2 the width of the tape. The tape will greatly enhance the flame-resisting properties of the cable. Fujikura Firestop Tape can be used as an accessory to Fujikura Firestop Sheet.
Optimum fire-spread resisting properties
The superior fire-spread resisting properties of Firestop Sheet were proved by the IEC 332-3A combustion test and "Steiner Tunnel" combustion test which require the most severe fire-resisting properties.
Easy to install extra cable
Extra cable can be installed very easily by removing Firestop Sheet in comparison with the conventional paint-type anti-fire spread method.
Easy to use
Can be cut to any size with shears, requiring no special skill.
