The high temperature demands of faster processors are exceeding the limits of conventional heat sink solutions. Fujikura's Cactus Heat Pipe is designed to meet the most demanding thermal cooling applications. Fujikura has extensive thermal cooling experience, including an understanding gained over 110 years in the interconnect industry and 20 years of manufacturing heat pipes.

Thermal resistance-the velocity of cooling air
Testing results of thermal resistance against the velocity of cooling air are shown. At low cooling air velocity such as 1 m/s, the obtained thermal resistance was 0.50-0.55 K/W. But with cooling air velocity higher than 2.0 m/s, the thermal resistance can be kept below 0.25 K/W at any orientation.
