Presently, heat pipes must have passive devices for CPU cooling in notebooks, desktop PCs and servers. However, heat pipes have yet to find applications in mobile phones and tablet PCs. The reason is due to the limited space available for cooling in these mobile devices. Fujikura has developed ultra-thin heat pipes of 0.6mm to 1.5mm in thickness, specifically applicable for these mobile devices.
The key technology for the thin heat pipe are new innovative internal heat pipe structure with enhanced capillary and wet ability.
